I appreciate that JavaPerformanceTuning.com has a huge amount of information, and that you would want a local copy for quicker access. I'm completely happy for you to download all the pages on the website. But please, don't repeatedly download every page about a hundred times as one particular Wget user did last month. One download of any page is enough, honestly. None of the pages change on a per-second basis, in fact once a month is how often they change normally, hence the existence of this monthly newsletter.

Get a free download of GemStone Facets 2.0 and see how this
patented technology supports JCA 1.0 to seamlessly integrate
with J2EE application servers to enhance performance.

This month, the articles listed cover the usual cross-section of Java. NIO related articles are coming up more often, and kudos to DevX who seemed to have decided to swamp its readers with JDBC driver infromation with no less than three articles covering JDBC drivers.

Javva is back with some life and death issues and a nice breakdown of performance tuning tasks. Kirk is almost back. Kirk's roundup was not quite ready at publication time, but rather than delay it until next month, I'll add it in the next day or so, so please check Kirk's page in a couple of days. (If you are reading more than a few days after publication, then ignore the previous and just go and see Kirk's column).

If you feel this newsletter could be useful to a friend, why not send them the URL. Note also that Yukio Andoh's Japanese translation will hopefully be available at http://www.hatena.org/JavaPerformanceTuning/ in a while.
