A lot of the articles, talks and blogs I link to have excellent content, but occasionally an absolute gem comes along which I feel it's worth my while pointing out as a must see (or must read) one. This month I'll point you at one of these.

Have a look down to the linked articles section, or go to this month's tips page and, find Poonam Parhar's JavaOne talk, "Troubleshooting the Java HotSpot VM". A good performance expert tends to be a good troubleshooter because many of the analysis skills are the same, and you tend to be good at both because you really enjoy doing it. In Poonam's case it's clear she enjoys this, and she's put together a lovely talk that covers so many different areas that even experienced troubleshooters will find some items they didn't know.

I would add that the talks I link to are excellent in any case, put aside an hour a week over the next month and see the four of the six that most grab your attention, you'll thank yourself.

Now on to those links to tools, articles, news, talks, blogs. And if you need the tips from this month's articles and talks, as ever they are extracted into this month's tips page.
