This year just after mid-year, JavaPerformanceTuning.com passed a lifetime 20 million page views. When I started this site as a continuation of my first book ("Java Performance Tuning" of course), I expected to add a few tips and a few tools and some news items for a few years, and have a few readers. I never expected to be still going more than 15 years later with so many tens of thousands of readers, so much content, and more than 20 million page views!
Much of the content here has been the tips that I've extracted over the years, around 10 000 of them! This year I've had the time to start thinking about what I've learned from all those tips, and my thoughts were well received with my packed Devoxx talk 10,000 Java performance tips over 15 years - what did I learn?, ( slides) which, with a nice symmetry, has now been seen over 10 000 times.
I intend to continue developing my understanding of all this content. My next talk, for those of you who might be in London on the 24th January, is Become A Guru: How To Solve Java Memory Leaks In Under 10 Minutes. There will unfortunately not be a recording, I hope to possibly make it available as a recording another time. Ah, as this newsletter goes out, I see that all tickets have already gone, so if you are desperate to come, ping me directly and I'll see if I can add some extra tickets or at least put you on a wait list.
Now on to our usual links to articles, tools, news, talks, blogs. And if you need the tips from this month's articles and talks, as ever they are extracted into this month's tips page.
