It's unusual for even the bigger conferences to have enough Java performance and memory related talks to fill my newsletter (JavaOne used to but not in the past few years). So I didn't expect this newsletter to be P99 conf focused. But after scanning through the talks, it's ended up this way.

The talks aren't all Java specific, but this year even the non-Java talks have some great useful content for programmers of any language, so I've curated quite a few talks from P99. One lovely quote from Pekka Enberg's gem-filled talk is worth mentioning here: "Worst case virtual memory performance runs at disk speed"

Now on to all those talks and the usual newsletter list of links, tips, tools, and news, and as usual I've extracted all the tips into this month's tips page
